This study aims at identifying the most important socio-demographic risk-factors associated with the development of rheumatoid arthritis in Liguria and to deeply analyze the use of healthcare services (hospitalizations, access to the Emergency Room, specialist visits and drug consumption) by patients. With this regard, the absorption of resources in each area of intervention has been estimated both for the NHS and for the patient.
